ZSE Client Rules / Terms of Use

These are the baseline expectations for using the ZSE Ecosystem as a client — acceptance, review, and grounds for decline or suspension.

A client should normally be accepted when they

These are the baseline expectations for using the ZSE Ecosystem.

  • Provide truthful basic information.
  • Have a valid means of communication.
  • Agree to ZSE's Client Rules and Terms.
  • Demonstrate a legitimate interest in using the Ecosystem.
  • Are willing to communicate and cooperate.
  • Are ready to provide transaction-specific information when required.
  • Can meet the financial, logistical or other requirements of the requested transaction.
  • Agree to respect ZSE vendors and service providers.
  • Do not demonstrate behaviour that creates an unreasonable risk to ZSE, its vendors or other clients.

Clients who may require review

Placed in Review rather than automatically rejected

A client should be placed in Review where there is uncertainty. The purpose of review is risk management and clarification - not unnecessary exclusion.

  • Information appears incomplete or inconsistent.
  • The requested service has special eligibility requirements.
  • The client requires a high-value transaction.
  • The transaction involves unusual payment or delivery circumstances.
  • Additional identification is reasonably required.
  • There is a history of unresolved disputes with ZSE.
  • There are repeated cancellations or failed transactions.
  • There is uncertainty about whether the requested service is appropriate for the client.
  • A vendor reports a legitimate concern requiring review.
  • The client's request involves a regulated or specialized service.

Not accepted or may be suspended

ZSE may decline, suspend or terminate access

ZSE reserves the right to decline, suspend or terminate access where there is credible evidence of:

  • Fraud or attempted fraud.
  • Identity misrepresentation.
  • Use of stolen payment information.
  • Intentional payment abuse.
  • Repeated chargebacks without legitimate grounds.
  • Harassment, threats or intimidation.
  • Abusive or discriminatory conduct.
  • Attempts to deceive ZSE or its vendors.
  • Requests for illegal products or services.
  • Attempts to use the Ecosystem for unlawful activity.
  • Deliberate damage to vendor property.
  • Repeated misuse of the ZSE platform.
  • Providing materially false information.
  • Attempts to circumvent ZSE's transaction or payment processes.
  • Conduct that creates a significant safety, security, legal or reputational risk.
